Who Are You?

“Who are you?” is an eternal question human beings have been asking themselves for countless years. However, North Carolina Congressman Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) may have taken it to a new level or should I say, a new “low.” Check out the links below to see how a freely elected politician responded to an on-camera question posed on a public sidewalk.

“Shocking” is the only word that comes to mind for me. If you were to act like this tomorrow in your office, would you have a job the next day? And, I don’t want to hear any excuses about the pressure Congressmen and Senators are under nowadays…so is everyone else! If they didn’t want this type of stress and exposure, politics was an unwise career choice.

It seems to me that we now hold our athletes to a higher level than our politicians. There are financial repercussions or suspensions dished out for far less abhorrent behavior in professional sports.  I say, fine him and consider placing a pink slip in his locker.
